The Five Pillars of Reproductive Care
DESIGNED TO DELIVER EXCELLENCE. EVERY TIME.
DNA Genetics is dedicated to delivering dependable and proven results to all customers. Pig survivability and reproductive performance are critical to maximizing production. To ensure sow farms using DNA lines achieve maximum results, DNA Genetics developed the Five Pillars of Reproductive Care protocol to promote the health and survivability of pigs as well as to develop highly productive sows to enter the commercial system. The Five Pillars include: first 48-hour piglet care, sow farrowing care, feeding for body condition management, gilt development, and estrus detection.
(DNA Lines 200 and 400)
DNA Genetics’ Yorkshire and Landrace purebred lines are the foundation for the DNA Genetics Line 241 gilt. Each line is undergoing continuous genetic improvement for those traits that support achieving 14|14|21 in the DNA Line 241 including improved pig survivability and robustness, weaning more of the pigs she already produces at a higher weaning weight and contributing to the grow-finish performance of her offspring.
By following the Five Pillars of Reproductive Care, the DNA Purebred Lines 200 and 400 will be dependable maternal sows that exceeds expectations in health, reproductive ability and overall performance.
(DNA Line 241)
The DNA Line 241 is the engine of any sow farm delivering dependable and proven results for producers. Her strong mothering capabilities result in high-quality, consistent litters with heavy wean weights. Already today, she has proven to wean 32+ superior pigs per sow per year that remain uniform through finishing. But that’s not all. Her feed efficiencies and ability to reenter the herd post weaning make her the smart choice for producers wanting to maximize on their bottom lines.
By following the Five Pillars of Reproductive Care, the DNA Line 241 will be the dependable maternal sow that exceeds expectations in health, reproductive ability and overall performance.
